Horsing Around: Equestrian chic at Hervé Léger

At a Hervé Léger show, the question is not, “What type of silhouettes will we see?” but rather, “What will be done with their obsequious bandage dress?”

For winter, Hervé Leger by Max Azria encased his bandage dresses behind leather harnesses, calling them a “study in seduction and restraint” for fall. He also paired gladiator boots (which he called the harnesses) and black and cognac belts, sporting the same equestrian-inspired look, with floor-length and knee-grazing dresses.

At times, these pieces where equestrian-like, but more often they landed in the dominatrix domain.

Coco Rocha, Camila Alves, Kristin Chenoweth, Poppy Montgomery, Tinsley Mortimer, Nina Dobrev, and model Beverly Johnson were among the celebrities I spotted in the front row.

It was great meeting Nina Dobrev, Camila Alves, Coco Rocha, and Kristin Chenoweth
